The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary association of business and professional men and women who, through committees and professional staff, have contributed importantly to the Chicago metropolitan area's commercial, industrial and civic development over a long period of years. The Chamber’s 2,600 members employ more than one million men and women in the region.

The Chamber works to promote the businesses of the area and especially its members; for ever-improving transportation services and rates; for the further development of metropolitan Chicago's many advantages as a business location; and for improved business laws, which form the framework within which area business operates.

The Chamber also works continuously and effectively to make metropolitan Chicago a better place in which to live. Its range of civic activities is wide, including carefully planned and executed programs for positive changes in the community.
